Dear ZIBR Community,

We are extremely proud and delighted to welcome Dr. Ahmed Ajil to our ZIBR team!

He has been appointed Assistant Professor of Behavioural Sciences with a focus on Criminology and Security Research at the Faculty of Behavioural Sciences and Psychology, and is affiliated to ZIBR. His ERC Starting Grant project TRACES examines counterterrorism as a form of biopower in Switzerland, Germany and Belgium, looking at how counterterrorism instruments are applied, how power is deployed through them, and how they are lived and embodied by those they target.

At ZIBR, he will also build a research portfolio at the intersection of blockchain technology and counterterrorism, starting with terrorism financing.
